An Uphill Battle

This is an inspiring story for all of us who think things are hard. Ralph Gree, a New York City native, received an Edward R. Murrow Award. Seems like both of them deserve an encore:
"When you have two legs and you become disabled, you feel that a part of you is taken away. You feel that you may not be able to walk faster than the next person. ... But skiing is a level playing ground."

TV broadcasting pact signed for Paralympics

American Television Stations,
Take a look at this!!
We Need to take a page out of their book! Have have a look at What the Chinese Government is doing!
Wow, THIS IS AN EXCLUSIVE!!

The Beijing Organizing Committee of the 2008 Olympics (BOCOG), Beijing Broadcasting Company Ltd (BOB), China Central Television (CCTV) and Beijing Television Station (BTV) signed the agreement which will see production teams of nearly 600 people from CCTV and BTV produce live broadcast signals of 11 sports including wheelchair fencing, athletics, wheelchair tennis, and tape another 12 events.

Now the Chinese are doing it all. Hopefully The US does team up or do something about it too..
Very interesting the Chinese have chosen The Paralympics as an opportunity to show to the world the image and capability of the Chinese television media.

-- cpaul says, "And let's not forget the fact that they'll be showing the capabilities of all the Paralympic athletes".

Regan looks for backing in Beijing Paralympics bid

Wheelchair-tennis player Shaun Reganis to represent Great Britain in Sweden for the World Team Cup, equivalent to the Davis Cup.

Since he took up wheelchair-tennis two years ago, Regan has spent £15,000 in pursuit of his Paralympic goal. Now he is hoping that local companies will help him with sponsorship.

Paralympic athletes have not only physical challenges to over come but. financial challenges as well. I hope so some good companies out there would sponsor Paralympic athletes so they be an inspiration to all of us.

Yes, Art -- let's hope someone is aware in at least two or three companies, of these bona fide athletes in the Paralympics. Lord knows, in this inspirationally starved planet, it is not only the Olympic athletes that can provide us with thrills! People love to see Paralympic athletes do their thing! It's time for television stations and big companies to get smart and participate in what I believe will pay big dividends for both the Paralympic athletes and the companies that sponsor them!
